We are open from Mid day through to 03.00 seven days a week.

Bar Lux is a friendly open terrace bar located in the busiest gay corner of the Yumbo. We don’t have any cheap happy hour, only quality branded drinks coupled with attentive service.

Here at Bar Lux we offer an extensive cocktail list, only branded drinks, Rich Italian Coffee, Ice Cream, Milkshakes and Bar Snacks and Pizza´s all day.

Bar Lux is proud to be celebrating its eighth year here in the Yumbo center, and we have a large international regular client base, this makes Bar Lux one of the premier meeting points for gay people from all the corners of the world!

Owners Peter and Wolfgang, Manager Denholm and all of the waiters work hard to ensure your visit is relaxing, enjoyable and you leave contented and with a sense that you would like to return.

Daytimes Bar Lux offers a refreshing alternative to the beach or pool. We have now been open allday for three years and have a positive feed back from our clients. So whether you would like to spend a couple of hours people watching whilst enjoying afternoon coffee and cakes, or partying with our extensive cocktail list, home made sangria or wide range of international beers, Lux is your place to be and be seen!!

Around 7pm Bar Lux undergoes a change. The transision from daytime to evening is achieved through subtle changes with the lighting, reorganisation of the elegent terrace and a change in pace of the music… Daytimes we offer relaxing chillout sounds and during evenings upto date tunes mixed with Spanish sounds for that ultimate latino atmosphere…

Our team of waiters are International; English,Dutch,German and Spanish… we can speak English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Italian!

All of our guests are offered complimentry peanuts or popcorn and even lolly pops if you want a quick suck!!  Free condoms and lube are available from the bar…remember be safe guys!!

Lux also offers an art exhibition with original works available at very competitive prices..
We don’t only work for us…Bar Lux is actively involved with fundraising and support of GLAY (Gay and Lesbian association Yumbowhich works hard for the gay tourists and business alike, and also brings you gay pride which this year is 8th – 13th March….and A.C.E.S (Amigos Contra el Sida) the Canarian Charity for HIV positive guys support and research.
